Township of Galloway Operations During COVID-19


 
Per Executive Order #103 from the State of New Jersey, in an attempt to contain COVID019/Coronavirus throughout the State, effective Wednesday 3/18/2020, all Township of Galloway public buildings are hereby closed to the general public, until further notice.
 
Residents and property owners are reminded that in the case of emergency to please dial 9-1-1.
 
The Township has installed a payment Drop Box in the lobby of the Police Department. If you use the Drop Box, please make sure you; 1. Checks only 2. Put in a sealed envelope clearly marked for what department you are paying 3. If you need a receipt, please provide a self addressed stamped envelope.

Public Safety
Police, fire and all emergency operations will function as normal, with no changes to service and response. Fire Prevention Bureau has suspended inspections until further notice.
 
Finance

Tax & Sewer Collections
Payments for taxes and sewer will continue to be accepted via mail, our website at www.gtnj.org/payments or in the payment Drop Box located in the Police Department lobby. Tax Assessment
The office will be performing all of the same functions. You can reach the tax assessor at This email address is being protected from spambots. All forms (e.g. Veteran’s Deductions/Exemptions, Appeal and Abatement) are available on the Galloway Township’s website in Find a Form or Document. Forms can be returned via US mail, email or can be put into the Drop Box located in the Police Department lobby.
 
Construction and Code Enforcement
There will be no housing or mercantile inspections until further notice. Construction inspections will be done on a case by case basis. All paperwork/permits are to be mailed to town hall. Payments are to be checks only, made to the Township of Galloway and mailed to town hall. Appointments that involve inside access to properties will be postponed. Municipal Court
Payments will still be accepted via mail or online at www.njmcdirect.com. If you do not know the amount you have to pay for a ticket, contact the court office at 609-652-3700 ext 1 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. any other questions or concerns. As per order of the NJ Supreme Court there is no municipal court for the remainder of the month of March.
 
Municipal Clerk
The following will continue to be handled via mail or online at www.gtnj.org/clerk, certified copies for death, birth, marriage (upon proof of identification and relationship) and also Dog Licensing, Mercantile, Bingo & Raffle applications, OPRA requests, landsale and land donations applications, voter registration applications and vote by mail applications. Public Works and Sewer
Operations will continue as usual as manpower permits. Access to the DPW building will be restricted to employees and deliveries only. Recreation & Senior Services
All activities, classes, and events have been postponed until further notice. All Township recreation fields and the Senior Center is closed. The recreation office is closed to public access.
